Three endings, instead of one growing archive
What Stays is a private journal built around the moment after you write. Type a note or speak one, then decide what it needs.
- Release: let it go. After the brief undo window, the entry and its encryption key are removed from the journal.
- Return: leave it sealed until a date you choose. You don't have to decide what it means today.
- Remember: keep it deliberately. Build a collection of what you chose to hold on to.
There is no streak to protect, audience to perform for, or daily target. You can use it when there is something to say, and leave it alone when there isn't.
A private journal without an account
Entries are encrypted on your device, each with its own key. Devector has no journal server, no account to recover and no copy of your words. Writing, recording and reading work offline.
That choice has a cost: if your only copy is on your phone, losing it can mean losing your journal. You can make a manual encrypted export from Settings. Keep the file somewhere safe and keep its passphrase; we cannot reset it for you.
AI is an optional tool, not the reason to write
On supported phones, Plus can offer a title, a line worth keeping or a reflection you ask for. This experimental feature is off by default. The operating system's model runs on the same device; your entry is not sent to a Devector AI service. Phone and language support vary, so the app lets you check before buying.
You never need AI to write, record, release, return to, remember or export an entry.
Free where it matters; one purchase for Plus
The journal, supported on-device transcription and encrypted export and restore are free. Plus adds encrypted sync through your own storage and supported on-device reflection. It costs £14.99 once in the UK, with no subscription. Other currencies are shown by the store.
New installs start with a 14-day full-feature trial. No payment is taken when it ends, and your existing entries stay accessible.
Android is available on Google Play. The iPhone beta is on TestFlight while the App Store release is being completed.
